FSSAI Issues ONDC Compliance Framework for Food E-Commerce: The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued a critical order on March 18, 2026, defining compliance obligations for e-commerce Food Business Operators under the ONDC model. The regulation, effective from April 1, 2026, clearly divides responsibilities between Seller Apps and Buyer Apps. 2
Key highlights include:
- Seller App Responsibilities: Primary accountability for data accuracy, FSSAI license verification, product information accuracy, shelf life details, and removal of non-compliant products.
- Buyer App Responsibilities: Display all seller information, ensure no expired products are listed, provide digital invoices, enable complaint registration.
- Shelf Life Requirements: Food products must have at least 30% shelf life remaining or 45 days before expiry at the time of delivery.
- FoSCoS Integration: Food Safety Compliance System (FoSCoS) updated to capture traceability details for both Buyer and Seller Apps.
ONDC Scale Update: ONDC currently operates across 616+ cities with over 7.64 lakh (764,000+) sellers onboarded. Maharashtra leads with 28,196 sellers and 69.34 lakh transactions completed to date. 3

ABHA Crosses 86.5 Crore Mark: As of March 9, 2026, a total of 86,57,85,821 Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA) have been created, with 90,38,49,616 health records linked to ABHA IDs. This represents significant progress in the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). 4
Additionally, India has mandated that medical colleges issue ABHA patient IDs as part of the digital health push, enabling patients to use their Aadhaar through the ABDM and Hospital Management Information System for registration. 5

CERT-In Issues Vulnerability Note for MongoDB: CERT-In issued Vulnerability Note CIVN-2026-0150 on March 19, 2026, identifying multiple vulnerabilities in MongoDB. Organizations using MongoDB are advised to review and apply necessary security updates. 6
